1. Boracay

Boracay is a small island in the central Philippines. It's known for its resorts and beaches. Along the west coast, White Beach is backed by palm trees, bars and restaurants. On the east coast, strong winds make Bulabog Beach a hub for water sports. Nearby, the observation deck on Mount Luho offers panoramic views over the island. Offshore, coral reefs and shipwrecks are home to diverse marine life.

2. Manila

Manila, the capital of the Philippines, is a densely populated bayside city on the island of Luzon, which mixes Spanish colonial architecture with modern skyscrapers. Intramuros, a walled city in colonial times, is the heart of Old Manila. It’s home to the baroque 16th-century San Agustin Church as well as Fort Santiago, a storied citadel and former military prison.

4. Mayon Volcano

Mayon Volcano is a sacred and active stratovolcano in the province of Albay in Bicol Region, on the large island of Luzon. It is renowned for its "perfect cone" because of its symmetric conical shape.

5. Chocolate Hills

The Chocolate Hills are a geological formation in the Bohol province of the Philippines. There are over 1,260 hills spread over an area of more than 50 square kilometres. They are covered in green grass that turns brown during the dry season, hence the name.

6. Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park

The Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park is a protected area of the Philippines. The park is located in the Saint Paul Mountain Range on the western coast of the island of Palawan, about 80 kilometres north of the city centre of Puerto Princesa, and contains the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River.

7. Hanging Coffins of Sagada

Members of the Igorot tribe of Mountain Province in northern Philippines have long practised the tradition of burying their dead in hanging coffins, nailed to the sides of cliff faces high above the ground. The tradition continues to this day though on a lesser scale.

8. Corregidor Island

Corregidor Island is an island located at the entrance of Manila Bay in southwestern part of Luzon Island in the Philippines. Due to this location, Corregidor has historically been fortified with coastal artillery to defend the entrance of Manila Bay and Manila from attacks by enemy warships. The island played a significant role in World War II and was the location of several battles.

9. Pagsanjan

11. Siargao Island

Siargao is a tear-shaped island, two-hundred and seventy miles southeast of Manila. Siargao is the capital of surfing in the Philippines and possibly the best surf spot anywhere in Asia.

12. Batanes

The Batanes Islands are the most northern in the Philippines and are the same distance from Taiwan as they are from Manila. The mini-archipelago is made up of ten individual islands only three of which, Sabtang, Batan and Itbayat, are inhabited.

13. Donsol

Donsol was once a sleepy seaside village until the discovery of the whale shark in 1998, transforming it to one of the Philippines top attractions.

14. Batad Rice Terraces, Banaue

Landmark rice paddies noted for their dramatic, cascading layout over an amphitheater-like hillside. They were carved into the hillsides of Ifugao Province by hand some 2,000 years ago, and are fed by an elaborate irrigation system that captures water from the forests above.
